“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” (1 John 4:11, NIV).
Jesus calls us to reach out to those in need. We are here to serve our community. Check out our caring ministries.
We help local persons and families who are in financial distress by providing food. Our Board of Deacons and their moderator, Susan Cunningham, maintain a food pantry in our Church House (office building). Call for times that the pantry is open.
A Weekly Dinner for Those in Need
Each Thursday evening, except the months of July and August, at 6:00pm we provide a full dinner for those in need. This “Serving Our Savior” Dinner is hosted in the gym of the Education Building. Folks from the community and our church family serve this meal.
Our church buildings are an official disaster relief site. As with Superstorm Sandy our people organize to help those who are made homeless or are in severe need otherwise. The American Red Cross, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and other relief agencies provide clothing and other materials.
Regional Blood Bank
In April and September we sponsor a blood drive at our church to help supply local blood banks.
